Detailed Instructions

1) Enter your user name, password and serial number from your download email.  Select the item you wish to download (Software or Reference Manual) and click "I'm not a robot".  Wait for the green checkmark to appear and click the "Download" button.  The download will start in a few seconds.  Save the file to the desktop under the suggested file name.  If the download fails to start, disable any anti-virus software or download manager which may be blocking the download.

2) If you are updating an existing system you generally do NOT need to uninstall your previous software - just run the setup program to automatically update your software.  The only exception is for HydroCAD 6.00 users, who should uninstall their previous software before installing the update.

3) When the download is complete, click (or double-click) the downloaded file (HydroCAD-Standard-setup.exe) to begin the installation.  (If you get a "corrupt file" message, your download file is incomplete.  Clear your browser cache and repeat the download.  The complete file should have a size of approximately 4MB.  See the download tips for further details.)

4) When the installation is complete, you can delete the download file (HydroCAD-Standard-setup.exe) which is no longer required.

5) To start HydroCAD click the new "HydroCAD" icon on the desktop or Start menu.  (If you get an "incomplete installation" message, log in as administrator and repeat the installation.)

6) When the program starts, please accept the suggestion to review the HydroCAD Tutorial, which will get you up to speed in a minimum of time!

7) For details on the new features in this release, select  Software Changes on the HydroCAD Help menu.
