HydroCAD DashboardHydroCAD 10.2 provides a new license dashboard that can be used to monitor the usage of your HydroCAD license. To access the dashboard you must start HydroCAD, and then select Help/Dashboard from the main menu. Click the Refresh button to load data from the server and update the screen. The information is returned on the following tabs: License: Displays parameters for the current license, including the maximum number of users and nodes. License Statistics: Displays usage statistics for the current license, including the total time and number of sessions. The "Denied" column indicates the number of times that a user was unable to start HydroCAD because the licensed number of users were already running HydroCAD. Active Sessions: Shows a list of all sessions that are currently active under this license. If a user fails to exit HydroCAD normally, the associated session record will still exist, consuming one user count. To clear an orphan session, have that user restart HydroCAD and then exit normally. Details here. User Statistics: Shows usage statistics for all HydroCAD users which occurred within the specified date range. User Utilization: Shows the number of sessions and total time that HydroCAD was used with a given number of concurrent users. This report may be displayed in tabular or graphical format. A user count of zero shows the number of times that a user was denied access because the licensed number of users were already running HydroCAD. Node Utilization: Shows the number of sessions and total time that HydroCAD was used with a given number of nodes. (To improve readability, the number of nodes is rounded up to the next multiple of 5.) This report may be displayed in tabular or graphical format. Usage Log: Provides a raw log of individual HydroCAD sessions which occurred within the specified date range. Note that records are added to this log only when the applicable session is closed, so active sessions will not appear in the report. A UserCount of zero indicates that a user was unable to run HydroCAD because the licensed number of users were already active. Notes:(1) The User Statistics and Usage Log are limited to the specified date range. Selecting "1 day" will include items for today only. Selecting "7 days" will select items for today and six prior days. (2) This screen is for reporting purposes only. No settings or license parameters can be changed on this screen. If you need to use a different serial number, the full license code must be entered on the Settings|Serial Number screen. (3) HydroCAD users are created automatically based on the Windows user name. Users cannot be manually created, deleted, or disabled. Anyone with your complete license code will be able to install and run HydroCAD under your license. If you detect unauthorized use of your license contact support to have your license code deactivated and reissued. (4) The Dashboard is available only though the standard HydroCAD program. An administrator wishing to access the Dashboard must install and run HydroCAD using the applicable license code.
