Can I transfer my HydroCAD license?
In most cases you can transfer your HydroCAD license to a new owner or location up to a maximum of
three times per calendar year. You must
also transfer all
materials issued with each license, including all manuals and media for all versions of the software
supplied to you. The new owner must also accept the full terms of the
License Agreement and must register the program within 30 days
of the transfer.
What about "Same Site" licenses?
Prior to May 2008 we offered separate pricing for multiple licenses that were
being used together at the "same site". In order to qualify for this
pricing, all licenses must be used together at a single location, and can only
be transferred to another location if all same-site licenses are transferred together. If you
wish to transfer some (but not all) of your same-site licenses to a site
that does not already have an initial HydroCAD license, you must convert
the first same-site license to a full license of the same capacity by payment
of the difference in cost. In other words, every site using HydroCAD must
have at least one standard license which was purchased at the standard price.

Note: As of May 2008 we are no longer issuing new "same site" licenses. When
you add a user to an existing site after that date, the cost is the same as
purchasing for a new site, so that license is fully transferable at no
additional cost. Please note that all pre-existing "same site" licenses
are still subject to a fee if transferred separately. If you would like to
convert all of your previous "same site" licenses to a transferable license,
please contact us for a custom proposal.
