Hardware and System Requirements

Operating System

HydroCAD will run on virtually any PC with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2K, XP, Vista or later.

Hard Disk Space

The HydroCAD software requires approximately 3 MB of hard disk space. Normal project data consumes minimal disk space (Approximately 10k for a 10-node project).

Windows Compatibility

The HydroCAD installation is an extremely safe process that does not install any files to system folders. With over 20,000 installations, no conflicts have been reported with any other software or system components.

Video Display

HydroCAD will run on any Windows-compatible display system, with full support for dual-monitor configurations.

Printers

HydroCAD supports all Windows printers, including all local, network, USB, JetDirect, and other connections. Also supports specialized "printer" drivers for plotters, PDF output, etc.

Network Support

The standard HydroCAD program is network-ready. Although the program should be installed on a local hard drive, it supports license pooling by multiple users.

Distribution Medium

HydroCAD is shipped on a single CD. The CD also includes a bonus Reference Library. The HydroCAD software is also available for download, for customer who wish to install immediately, before the physical shipment arrives.

Compatibility With Other Programs

HydroCAD is a stand-alone program that does not require other software (other than the operating system.)

Data can be exported and imported through a number of file formats, allowing the creation of links with terrain modeling software and other data sources.
