CD Reference Library

What is the CD Reference Library?

The HydroCAD CD includes a substantial Reference Library, which provides a number of documents of interest to HydroCAD owners.  (The CD and Owner's Manual are included with all versions of HydroCAD except the free Sampler.)

The CD Reference Library currently includes:

bulletSample sections from the Stormwater Training DVD
bulletHydroCAD Owner's Manual in PDF format.
bulletDesign Tools and reference data for CULTEC, Inc. storage chambers.
bulletThe complete National Engineering handbook, Section 4: Hydrology.
bulletOriginal SCS/NRCS TR-55 Manual and Software.
bulletOriginal SCS/NRCS TR-20 Manual and Software.

How do I access the CD Reference Library?

With HydroCAD 7.1 (and later) just insert the CD and select "Reference Library" from the menu.

For HydroCAD 7.0, follow these steps to access the library:

  1. Make sure the HydroCAD-7 CD is in your CD ROM drive.
  2. If the setup program starts automatically, select "Do Not Install".
  3. Open "My Computer" and locate your CD ROM drive.
  4. Right-click your CD ROM and select "Open" from the menu.
  5. When the CD folder appears, open the "Library" folder.
  6. Inside the "Library" folder, open the "Contents" document.
  7. Use the "Contents" links to access the documents you need.

The HydroCAD CD is provided to all customers with a full HydroCAD system.  (The CD is not available with the Sampler.)  If you don't have the CD, some of the documents are also available in the web library.

You can view a sample Contents page here, but the links are not available without the CD.
